Ironmachine Mirror Extenders.
Ironmachine Mirror Extenders
So I'm coming out of the South Station Tunnel in Boston Mass.,moving at about 30-35 mph. Up ahead about 1/4 mile there's a left hand curve in a three lane highway, I'm in the middle lane and need to move over one because my exit is just through the turn on the right. I'm leaning left and checking my right mirror to make the lane change.

Oh My God! I can actually see the car in the lane to my right in my mirror coming up on me. So I adjust my speed, the car passes and I safely make the lane switch to exit the highway.

Why am I telling you all this? It's a story I've told before, only the ending used to end with," I looked and all I saw was my elbow covered by my BUELL jacket". Of course I always look over my shoulder anyway, but never the less the vehicle is much better seen than the elbow.

I got a call from Scott or Scooter a few weeks back "Hey John I have some MIRROR SPACERS from the IRONMACHINE that need some reveiws on, can you throw um on and give me an honest opinion of them? "Sure I say". So I stop buy Scotts one Sat. afternoon, he's outside giving pointers to a NEWBIE.

He gets his tools and with a quick look at the directions "that are in plain english", the SPACERS are in place and looking great 'with a few adjustments to the rubber mirror covers.' At first I was kind of "not diggin um" but after a ride around the block,a half hour ride home and two weeks on the bike, I can't understand why these babies aren't standard equipment on this bike. The SPACERS move the mirrors up and out about an inch and a half and make the bike feel kind of like a "FIGHTER JET". You'll have to take my word for it, or get some and feel it for yourself.

A few days into riding and the SPACERS we're ready for the recommended tightening, which is simply a snug turn of an allen wrench. Quick and easy, I highly recommened this product.

For a good look at them, they can be seen in May 2003 CYCLEWORLD mag. on pg.29 in the NEW IDEAS section. Suggested retail is $60.
